India Hut's ordering menu does the useful half of the job: it has a "Vegetarian Appetizers" heading, a "Non-Veg Appetizers" heading and a "Vegetarian" entree section, so you can see at a glance what has no meat in it. What it does not do is say anything about dairy. Paneer, cream and butter are named in some descriptions and absent from others, and absent from a description is not the same as absent from the pan.
Ghee is the question to ask
The dishes I have listed as worth asking about, the channa masala, aloo gobi, yellow dal tadka, baingan bharta and the rest, name no dairy on the menu. Indian kitchens routinely finish exactly those dishes with ghee or a spoon of cream anyway. If you are vegan, this is the one question worth asking here, and asking it per dish rather than in general.
The naan and the biryani are not the easy wins they look like
Naan is normally made with milk, yogurt or ghee, and this menu says nothing to the contrary, so I have listed the breads as vegetarian rather than as anything more. The veg biryani's own description names yogurt.
The hours here are second-hand
India Hut's own website was returning a fatal error when I checked, so the hours, the phone number and the street address all come from current listings rather than from the restaurant. The ordering page is working and is where the menu comes from.
