What this site collects

Nothing directly. There is no login, no profile, no comment system, and no analytics script embedded in these pages today. The site is plain HTML served from a CDN.

When analytics are added, the intention is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not fingerprint or track people across sites. This page will be updated before that goes live.

The language switch saves only your English or Spanish preference in your browser's local storage so it remains selected as you move between pages. That preference stays on your device and is not sent to Veg El Paso.

Nearby searches

If you choose “Use my location,” your browser supplies coordinates to the page so it can calculate distances to the restaurant records. Veg El Paso does not send those coordinates to a server or save them.

If you enter a ZIP code instead, that ZIP is sent directly from your browser to Zippopotam.us to obtain an approximate ZIP-code center point. Veg El Paso does not store the ZIP or the result.

Corrections

Corrections come to me by email at present. If you write to me, I have your email address in the way anyone does when you email them. It is used only to reply to you.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes request data such as IP address to serve pages and block abuse. That is Cloudflare's processing, under their policies, not something this site reads or keeps.

Links out

Links to restaurant websites, menus, and maps take you to sites with their own policies. Restaurant pages also load an embedded Google Map, so Google can receive ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser details when that map loads.

Fonts and images

Fonts are served from this domain rather than a font CDN, so no third party sees your request for them. Images are generated at build time and served from the same domain.
